It seems like yesterday when I was in the Imagine Cup 2014 and Microsoft is already launching the event again! The Imagine Cup 2015 has began and I felt honored to be invited to the launch event to tell my story as a finalist in this year and as a vice-champion of the world back in 2012.
In this year, the Imagine Cup took place in Seattle. We had the opportunity to visit the Microsoft headquarters and do a little tourism around the country as well! Me and my friends represented Brazil in the Imagine Cup with the game Liaison. The game is a side-scrolling platformer that tells the story of a boy and his dog. They’re both imprisoned in a castle and the player needs to help them find a way out. Liaison is full of mind twisting puzzles and crazy graphics. We placed 4th in the Games Category and a gold medal in the Project Blueprint Challenge.
In 2012 the Imagine Cup happened in Australia in the beautiful city of Sydney. Me and my good friends from The Doers team placed 2nd in the Game Design Category. Our game was called Do More, a strategy game about helping cities develop, addressing problems from the 8 millennium goals. In this competition our body of judges included no less than Major Nelson and Adam Sessler!

Well, in the past few years I have learned a lot! In this competition you’ll have a chance to meet people from all around the world. It makes you grow as a human being because you’ll learn about many different cultures. As a matter of fact, I’d say it makes you grow as a professional as well. It will get you involved with people in the industry including some important figures such some Microsoft executives. It’s like a channel of opportunities where you’ll also be invited to some important events and even television interviews. It’s like being in the spotlight!
